The Hampton Village Traders Association (HVTA) is a vibrant group of local business owners dedicated to supporting the community, encouraging collaboration, and promoting independent businesses across Hampton Village.

Through local community initiatives, events, and partnerships, the HVTA helps strengthen community connections, support local traders, and contribute to a welcoming and thriving local economy.

Supporting Local Businesses In Hampton

The HVTA works to enhance the village’s appeal, foster collaboration among businesses, and encourage residents and visitors to support local independent traders wherever possible.

Key Initiatives

  • Social Media Presence: We encourage members to share photos and offers to showcase Hampton’s services and attract customers.
  • Trader of the Month: We highlight a local business each month to recognise their contributions and promote their services.
  • Monthly Social Events: We organise visits to member businesses to build relationships and facilitate referrals.
  • Local Events: We create and run events such as the Christmas parade, dog shows, a screen-on-the-green cinema, and community festivals to promote Hampton and encourage people to shop locally.
  • Newsletters and Postcards: We keep residents informed about local opportunities, events, and businesses across Hampton Village.

Nighttime Strategy

The HVTA is actively working on a nighttime strategy to help keep Hampton’s evening economy vibrant and welcoming. Initiatives such as “The Movable Feast” encourage residents and visitors to explore local pubs, clubs, cafés, and restaurants while supporting Hampton’s diverse independent businesses.

Community Initiatives

The HVTA also promotes initiatives like Never Hungry in Hampton, “Never Lonely in Hampton,” and Never Alone at Christmas to support the local community and foster meaningful social connections.

Collaboration and Mutual Support

By working together, HVTA members share ideas, expertise, and resources to help local businesses thrive and contribute positively to the village’s economy and wider community.

Susan has recently taken over as director of the traders’ association and continues to support initiatives that strengthen local business collaboration and community engagement throughout Hampton Village.

The HVTA is committed to keeping Hampton a vibrant and attractive place to live, work, and visit. We believe our initiatives and events will continue to make a positive impact on the local community and economy.
